ADVENTURE DETAILS

INTRODUCTION

 

A new group of young adventurers have taken up residence at the Pair of Antlers Inn in the bustling city of Elturel. Soon their desires are met as they are hired to aid the exotic Silvo in his rush to head north with his small caravan of roving wagons. Little do they know that their quest for adventure will take them on a dark and terrifying path towards evil as they fall under THE CURSE OF STRAHD.

Khazan's Tower

 

The age of this tower is unknown, but the PCs friend Rictavio seems to know his way around the tower - including how to control the golems as well as how to deactivate and reactivate the lightning trap on the front door. Perhaps there is more going on at this tower than is immediately obvious.

KHAZAN'S TOWER

 

On Lake Baritok sits a small island with a lonely roughly circular tower. The island is connected to the shore by a slender land bridge. The tower looks ancient and it is in poor repair.

 

Rictavio had taken up residence in the tower and the PC's had spent a night of rest there. The tower is accessible through the main ground floor door (Which is horribly trapped with a lightning curse) or by climbing up the unsafe and rickety staging which runs up one side of the tower to a large crack on the third floor.

 

Getting past the door safely brings a visitor to the lift, which is controlled by magical clay golems who pull on pulleyed ropes to raise and lower the platform.

 

The top floor Rictavio has turned into his personal living space, and it is fairly comfortably furnished - with a wood stove and plenty of logs; a comfortable bed; a desk and chair; and a small wardrobe.
