The PC's divided up their loot and decided on their course to Thundertree. They planned to cut back to the Triboar trail and follow it along until they get to where the forest turns north then they would go overland north.
On their first day of travel, they only encountered three pilgrims trudging along the dusty road, an old man and two young men. Simple travelers? Or are they more than they seem? There was nothing more than a cordial brief interaction.

Day 6 - Kythorn 18, 1491 DR. Hot weather. 39 c. Rainy periods.
Around 11:00 am they came to a hill, upon which were the ruins of Thundertree. As they followed the track they decided to check the south eastern most building as they had a clue that they could find an heirloom there. The building was occupied and the doors and shutters were barred. They tried to communicate with those inside and were rebuffed.
They decided to check the next building, but as Keeper moved to the far side of it, she was attacked by Twig Blights who rushed her from bushes nearby. This fight was over quickly as they were fairly fragile. Farooq burst in the door to the building and there were two Ash Zombies within. Farooq engaged them in melee while the rest blasted them from ranged. Hitting the zombies makes them emit a wash of hot ash to those nearby. This fight was over fairly quickly as well.
Ara had spent some time listening through the shutters of the building with the people in it and learned that they were watching what the PCs were doing and had mentioned something about a dragon. The next building they checked was the one they were looking for - an herbalist shop. They rummaged around and found a small box with a pendant and chain inside.
Not wanting to leave anything unexplored, they doubled back to the first building and kicked the barred door in. Within were 4 black garbed, hooded humans with scimitars who reacted in a shocked and defensive way. They didn't look like they wanted to fight and they just wanted to be left alone. They called forth for their leader who said that they had not been in the village long, but they were planning to approach the Dragon at the top of the hill in hopes of gaining its friendship. They had an appreciation for dragons it would seem.
The PCs decided to leave them to their devices and continue to explore the ruined village.
