The Crimson Reavers

I've been asked to step in if needed as DM while Jim is recovering from his surgery. We're all hoping for a speedy recovery for Jim and to have him back in the Big Seat as soon as he feels ready. In the interim - if I am going to DM something for 5e D&D, my choice would be to continue the adventures of the Crimson Reavers. To do so, we will need to convert our 2nd edition characters to 5th edition. Our plan is to take a stab at that this Monday, at Steve's house. (Thank you Steve).

Now, this being 5e, there are a ton of options on how to build your character. My only strong hope is that they are still the same basic characters, even in the loosest sense. Grayel was a fighter - priest, but what if that translates into a paladin of Tymora in 5e? Arcady was a fighter previously, but in 5th edition maybe he's swashbucking rogue? Whatever makes sense and would be fun for you is on the table.

You have a unique opportunity, being 7th level adventurers who get a re-build at that point, to customize your character to the fullest extent. I would suggest you all look over your newly updated artifacts to make sure you do not double up on abilities (Please visit the CAMPAIGN page to see those posts). In 5e, these artifacts can grant Feats, spells, class features, etc. These powers all work to make the item better follow it's theme as shown below.

The Bow of Auramar - DPS and some crowd control.

The Sword of the Zephyr - DPS, Speed and deadly strikes.

The Blade of Bin Oran - unconventional movement, illusion and enchantment.

The Armor of Twilight - Protection and resistance. Every damn kind you can think of.

The Shield of the Broken Tower - Protection, immovability and walls.

The Shard of Naeril - Detection, healing and situational magic.

Put some thought into this and we'll go forward from there.
